Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger announced Wednesday that the state will conduct a full, by-hand recount of the presidential election ballots.
“With the margin being so close, it will require a full, by-hand recount in each county,” Raffensperger said during a news conference. “This will help build confidence. It will be an audit, a recount, and a recanvass all at once. It will be a heavy lift.”

He said the state will work with county officials to finish the audit in time to meet the Nov. 20 deadline for certifying statewide election results.
President-elect Joe Biden currently leads President Donald Trump by 14,111 votes in the state, according to Raffensperger.
